Are you tired of serving the same old sweet potatoes each year? Mix it up with a casserole like this one.
Maple Glazed Sweet Potatoes
4 sweet potatoes, sliced into thin rounds
¼ cup water
3 Tbls. Butter, melted
4 Tbls. Maple syrup
½ tsp. cinnamon
¼ tsp. nutmeg
½ cup toasted pecans
Preheat oven to 350˚.
Place sweet potatoes in a casserole dish arranging in a spiral pattern. Pour water overtop.
Cover casserole dish with foil and bake for 20 minutes.
Combine butter, syrup, cinnamon and nutmeg.
Remove foil and pour butter mixture overtop, coating as evenly as possible.
Bake covered for 20 minutes.
Remove foil and bake an additional 10 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
Remove from oven and sprinkle with pecans.
Serve.
