Turning a Major Facility Upgrade Into a Story Worth Sharing.
A massive press rebuild makes for some pretty impressive time-lapse footage. But watching a machine come apart and go back together only tells part of the story.
The PM8 Press Section Rebuild was actually one piece of a much larger video project for Pixelle. We captured the rebuild from start to finish, but we also wanted to answer the bigger question:
Why does this investment matter?
So we put Julie Schertell, Pixelle’s CEO, and Matt Archambeau, SVP of Operations, in front of the camera.
Through a series of Q&As, Julie and Matt talk about what went into the decision to make this investment and what the new press frame means for Pixelle’s employees, customers, community and investors. They also dig into the practical benefits like better quality, greater speed, improved sustainability, increased reliability and a longer life for the operation.
Because a time-lapse can show you what happened. It takes people to explain why it matters.
From Production Challenge to Strategic Content
The Hayman team developed a content plan to capture the scale and impact of the project, including:
- Timelapse documentation of the press frame switch out
- Photography capturing key project milestones
- Interviews with team members involved in the process
- Behind-the-scenes footage highlighting facility improvements
The content focused on key themes including:
- Investment in quality and innovation
- Sustainability initiatives
- Plant and community investment
- Safety improvements
- Increased efficiency and throughput
The Result
A major facility upgrade became an opportunity to tell a bigger story, one about investment, progress, and the people behind the operation. Rather than creating a single piece of content, Hayman developed a library of visual assets Pixelle could use across multiple communication channels.
Through strategic planning, photography, video production, and storytelling, Hayman helped Pixelle showcase not just what changed, but why it mattered.
What we did
