Here at the studio, we are makers.
Keeping up with the amount of amazing stuff we make and do around here is a challenge, because once we finish one project (or do one cool thing), we’re ALWAYS immediately on to the next. Our studio culture is based on respect, fun, creative thinking, problem solving, and strong collaboration. We love our clients and the work they do, and we want to make sure we show them off when we can. We also love our team, and we want to show them off and the brilliant work they do.
Finally, we love a good process. The kind of process that works like a mousetrap, where one action triggers another, and stuff MOVES. Therefore, we’ve instituted the “Recent Bits” series, triggered by the stacking up of several cool projects (they’re all cool, really) or activities. Consider it a kind of cleaning out of the fridge, if you will — but the kind of clean out where the food is still fresh enough to make a really good soup out of.
This episode of “Recent Bits” includes projects from Penn State Reach, where we put together a quarter-long campaign that included video promotion, social assets and packages, as well as printed assets like infographics to help promote COVID and flu vaccinations.
Working on the Reach project was cool because we got to work hands-on in the community, and it felt good to support their important message. ~Ben, videographer
We also feature PeoplesBank, with a video project to showcase their Vision Board Experience, an interactive tool to help build inspiration and meet financial goals.
It’s always awesome when a project teaches us something. As we developed this video, I became genuinely interested to learn about this specific service that PeoplesBank provides. ~John, graphic designer
Our animated PaTH to Health video helps people understand when telehealth is appropriate, and when an in-person visit is recommended.
This project stands out because each asset I animated was created in-house by our designer, John, which yields much better results than using stock assets. John and I can communicate immediately during the process, which makes the whole production run smoothly. ~Alex, lead video editor and animator
Finally, we feature PR Hoffman‘s video that introduces their cutting-edge RS Servo 7600 machine.
Writing the script for the RS Servo 7600 video was the best kind of challenge: highly-technical information had to be presented in an easy-to-understand, concise fashion. ~Madeline, script writer
OTHER BITS:
This quarter’s Hayman Studio team found us at Starview Sportsman’s outdoor range, where our Creative Director, John, took us to shoot (some of us for the first time). The weather was chilly and the sky gray, but we all enjoyed some time out of the studio to learn something new.
