During the spring of 2023, we were lucky enough to have the lovely Emma working with us as an intern. Emma was a senior at Central York High School and approached Ryan with a passion for heading down a career path of video production and editing.
Seeing as that is what we are amazing at, Ryan jumped at the opportunity to give back and start to mold a budding videographer.
While with us, Emma assisted on video productions at the York Revolution, Intertek, and for Myers Building Products. She got to see how a production crew can have fun on set, and also have great attention to detail and quality. Ryan’s philosophy is that learning opportunities are limited if restricted to just following a crew around, holding the boom, and moving lights. So, he threw Emma in the deep end, and she well and truly swam!
The task was to create a marketing video for our favorite local café, Gather 256. Emma scripted, coordinated, scheduled, shot, animated, and edited the video with the guidance and backing of the studio team. She has a bright future in the world of videography, and it was our pleasure hosting her this spring. Good luck out there Emma!
